STARTING OF PRODUCTION IN CHUKUROVA IN PREHISTORIC TIMES AND FIRST SETTLEMENTS PREHİSTORİK ZAMANLARDA ÇUKUROVA’DA ÜRETİMİN BAŞLAMASI VE İLK YERLEŞİMLER
In our work; In Cukurova region, we have examined the settlements found in the remains of the prehistoric period. Until now, no other study has been found on the prehistoric settlements in this area as a whole. Our aim is to facilitate researchers. Accordingly, the excavations and survey sites will be introduced first, then the table will be presented. Cukurova is studied in two parts as geography part, plain part and mountain part. It is possible to find Paleolithic and mesolitic finds in the valleys located in the mountain section to the west of the plain. It has been determined that the Sirtlanini Magri in Tasucu is a Paleolithic settlement. Since the Neolithic age, where Cukurova was firstly produced due to its flatness and fertile plains, there have been many settlements here. The production village settlements is mostly concentrated around the Ceyhan River. The edges of the Berdan River in the western part of the region are also a rich part of the production settlements. The fact that the other important rivers, the Göksu and Seyhan River, are located in the mountainous area is less advantageous for the production village settlements. However, if serious research is done on these area, pre-production settlements can be found.
