Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Cahit Uçuk’un “Gümüş Kanat” adlı eserini kök değerler açısından incelemektir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman inceleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada incelenen eser, Cahit Uçuk’un çocuklar için yazdığı “Gümüş Kanat” adlı eserdir. Eser çocuklara sevgi ve umut kavramlarını aşılamayı hedeflemektedir. Eserde adalet değerinin yer almadığı; sevgi, vatanseverlik ve yardımseverlik değerlerinin geniş bir şekilde işlendiği görülmüştür. Eserde dostluk değeri ile ilgili dostun güvenilir, anlayışlı olması gibi konular üzerinde durulmuştur. Eserde genel olarak roman kahramanının anne ve babasına karşı her zaman dürüst olduğu görülmektedir. Öz denetim değeri genel olarak gelecek ve başarı için istikrar, başkalarını üzmemek için kendine hâkim olma şeklinde görülmektedir. Sabır değeri genel olarak eserde güzel günlere çıkabilmek için verilen mücadele, azim, iş birliği gibi konularla işlenmiştir. Eserde saygı değerinin kendinden büyüklere aynı zamanda anne ve babaya olan saygı, iş yerinde kendisinden üst konumda olan birisine gösterilen saygı olarak ortaya çıktığı görülmektedir. Sorumluluk değeri eserde genel olarak insanın hayatını devam ettirebilmesi, ailesinin sağlığı ve mutluluğu için büyük sorumluluklar altına girmesi şeklinde işlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak bakıldığında eserdeki değerlere ilişkin iletilerin öğretim programındaki kök değerler ile uyum içerisinde olduğu görülmektedir. Eserde iyiliklerin karşılıksız kalmayacağına; kötülüklere maruz kalındığında asla umudun kaybedilmemesi gerektiğine; dostluk, arkadaşlık ve aile ilişkilerinin toplumsal yaşamdaki önemine ilişkin iletilere yer verilmektedir.

Abstract
This study aims to examine Cahit Uçuk's "Gümüş Kanat" in terms of core values. The document review method was used in the research one of the qualitative research methods. The data obtained in the study were analyzed by the descriptive analysis method. The work examined in the research is Cahit Uçuk's work called “Gümüş Kanat” written for children. The work aims to instill the concepts of love and hope in children. In the work, issues such as the friend's trustworthiness and understanding related to the value of friendship are emphasized. In the work, it is seen that the novel's hero is always honest with his mother and father, and he always behaves sensitively while acting toward other people. The value of self-control is generally seen as stability for the future and success, and self-control so as not to upset others. In general, the value of patience is dealt with in the work with subjects such as struggle, perseverance, and cooperation to have good days. In the work, it is seen that the value of respect emerges as the respect for the elders and the mother and father, and the respect paid to someone in a superior position in the workplace. The value of responsibility is handled in the work as a person's ability to dwell his life and to take significant responsibility for the health and happiness of his family. As a result, it is stated that the messages related to the values in the work are correlated with the core values.
