Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to examine the non-linear perspective of non-equilibrium, deterministic difference, complexity, and predictability that occur in geosciences, specifically in geomorphological processes, within the logic of quantum mechanics. In this context, dispersive structures, chaos theory, fractal geometry, and the relationship between these systems and non-dynamic geomorphological systems were tried to be thematized through a sample problem accompanied by a quantitative research plan and descriptive content analysis from qualitative research methods. While this thematization was contextually oriented towards the purpose and methodology, it was designed according to the quantitative dimension's slope evolution and catchment development. Then, from the various databases examined, a purposive sampling method reflecting the universe and sample was applied, then selected samples were determined. In this direction, the studies subject to the research were listed from academic bibliography environments such as Web of Science, Researchgate, and Academia.edu. In this context, equilibrium and inequalities in geomorphologic systems were determined, then non-linear complex systems were defined, and the character of the phenomenon in question was tried to be revealed. Based on the definition of complex systems, historical evidence, interpretations, model and experimental design, management and indicators, phenomenological typology, thresholds, geomorphological effects, individual and competitive relationships, multifaceted models and adjustments, and interruptions of non-linear dynamics were tried to be revealed. The theoretical, paradigmatic, and empirical evidence gathered during the research process has once again shown that complex dynamical systems with their critical thresholds, chaotic patterns, definitions, storage effects, interruptions, limiting effects, non-linear sources such as saturation and depletion, together with their non-linear sources such as saturation and depletion, have provided a mathematical model design for understanding some of the complex increases and environmental changes in geomorphological appearance that we cannot comprehend.
