Abstract
Bu çalışmada, Adana’nın sosyo-kültürel ve dini hayatında oldukça önemli sayılan müftülük makamında yıllarca hizmet eden ve müftülük vazifesi öncesinde müderris, katip, meclis azalığı ve eytam müdürlüğü görevlerinde bulunan Mehmet Sâdık Efendi ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada, evvela ilmiyye sınıfını teşkil eden kadı, müderris ve müftü memuriyetlerinden bahsedilmiştir. Ardından, çalışmanın esasını oluşturan Mehmet Sâdık Efendi’nin aile hayatı, eğitim durumu, bildiği lisanlar, işe başlama yaşları, aldığı maaşlar ve yapmış olduğu görevlere dair malumat verilmiştir. Ayrıca, çalışmanın son bölümünde oluşturulan ekler kısmında, Mehmet Sâdık Efendi’ye ait sicil dosyasındaki belgelerden üç tanesi eklenmiştir.

Abstract
In this study, Mehmet Sâdık Efendi, who served in the mufti office, which is considered to be important in socio-cultural and religious life of Adana for many years, and who was in charge of mudarris, clerk, parliamentary membership and orphans director before the duty of mufti, was discussed. In the study, firstly the kadi, mudarris and mufti officers, which constitute the class of ilmiyye, were mentioned. Then, Mehmet Sadık Efendi, who made up the basis of his work, was informed about Efendi's family life, educational status, languages known, age at work, salaries received and tasks he had done. In addition, three of the documents in the register file belonging to Mehmet Sadık Efendi were added to the appendices created in the last part of the study.
