Abstract
Bazı kentler fazla değinilmeyen, uzak durulan ve göz ardı edilenler arasındadır. Çünkü fazla veri olmadığı için yeni bir şeyler söylemek zordur. Kilikia’nın tamamına egemen olan son vasal kralı IV. Antiochos tarafından kurulan kent, imparatorluk ailesini onurlandırmak amacı ile gelecek yeni imparatorun isminden esinlenerek adlandırılmıştır. İmparator Vespasianus döneminde ismi değiştirilen kent, zaman içinde eski önemini kaybeder. Çünkü tarihte birçok kentin kaderi iktidarın gücüyle beslenmektedir. Neronias – Eirenopolis de bu kentler arasındadır. Roma İmparatorluğu’nun gücü ve himayesi altında varlığını sürdüren Neronias – Eirenopolis, birçok farklı sikke tipiyle bile kültürel zenginliği göstermektedir. Tarihsel süreç içinde değişen politik koşullar nedeniyle de kent zamanla eski önemini kaybetmiştir. Yeni başlayan kazılar uzun zamandır devam eden yüzey araştırmalarının bilgileriyle birleşerek yazılı kaynaklarda ismine sıkça rastlamadığımız kent hakkında yeni veriler sunmaktadır. Kilikia Pedias’ın doğu sınırındaki konumuyla dikkat çekici bir yerleşim olmasına rağmen üzerinde fazla kafa yorulmayan, çalışılmayan ama çalışılmayı bekleyen artık sesini duyurmak isteyen bir kenttir. Eğer dinleyebilirsek bize ilerde çok şey söyleyecektir.

Abstract
Some cities are among ones which have kept way from and ignored. Because of the insufficient evidence, it is difficult to say something new. The city that was founded by Antiochos IV, the last vassal king of the entire Cilicia, has been named by inspiring from the name of the next emperor in order to honor the family of the empire. The city which was renamed during the reign of Emperor Vespasianus lost its former significance over the time. Because the destiny of many cities is fed by the power of puissance in history. Neronias - Eirenopolis is also found among these cities. Neronias - Eirenopolis city, that sustained its existence under the influence and power of the Roman Empire, shows us cultural richness even with many different types of coins. The city lost its former importance, because of the changing politic conditions in time. Recent excavations have connected with the knowledge of long-standing surveys and provide new information about the city that is not well-known from the ancient written sources. Although it is a remarkable settlement with its location on the eastern border of Kilikia Pedias, it is a city which is not meditated, and not much studied, but is desired to announce its voice and is waiting to be studied. If we can listen, she will tell us a lot of things.
