Abstract

Turkish language has developed in different geographical regions throughout by being effective in Turkish history and has also played a role in the development of the Turkish nation. The Turks have lived in different geographies throughout the history and have taken their culture and language to the places that they've gone. Thanks to these interactions, Turkish has become one of the preferred important languages in Asia, Europe and Africa. In our recent history, our language has been learned by many different nations with the help of technology that brings people from all over the world in a very short time. In addition to the power of technology, the geopolitical position of our country and its political power in the Middle East have played an effective role in spreading the Turkish language and being preferred by many nations. In addition to being considered important throughout the history, especially in recent years, researchers have increased their studies on teaching Turkish as a foreign language. Nowadays Turkish is an important language that preferred by many nations in our country and abroad for many different reasons. Therefore, researches are needed to teach our language to foreigners. The aim of this research is to guide the researchers who will study on teaching Turkish as a foreign language and to provide them with the necessary resources. For this purpose, the researches (articles and master's - doctoral theses) that created in the last 3 years (2017,2018 and 2019) have been gathered together in this study. The research has created as a literature review. In the scanning, data have collected through YÖK Thesis National Thesis Center, ULAKBIM, Google Scholar, Academia, Research Gate, YÖK Academic databases and Pegem, Kesit, Nobel publishings. As a result of the scannings, 292 studies (143 articles and 149 master's - doctoral theses) have identified that prepared for teaching Turkish to foreigners. This study, which was created by gathering the researches on teaching Turkish as a foreign language in the last 3 years, will thought to be supportive for researchers who will introduce new studies on teaching Turkish as a foreign language.
