Abstract


THE MEDIATING ROLE OF SELF-EFFICACY IN THE EFFECT OF SUSTAINABLE QUALITY PERCEPTION ON PERFORMANCE OF ACADEMICIANS ON AND A RESEARCH
The aim of this research is to find out whether the perceived sustainable quality of the academicians' is based on a quantitative research on the mediating effects of self-efficacy perceptions on their performances. Sustainable quality perception is the degree to which employees perceive the quality and sustainability activities of organizations and their effectiveness. Self-efficacy is the personal sufficiency belief displayed by how much and how long a person will endeavor to face the situation they are facing, and according to the anticipation of their past experience (Çankır, 2016). Performance is defined as the desire and power to achieve any event or situation. Research was carried on working in Turkey about 220 academics. In order to measure self-sufficiency, a 10-item General Self-Efficacy scale be used, prepared by Schwarzer and Jerusalem (1995) and adapted to Turkish by Yeşilay, Schwarzer and Jerusalem in 1996. Employee performance was measured by Sigler and Pearson (2000), Kirkman and Rosen (1999), and four expressions made by Turkish adaptation by Çöl (2011). In the analysis of the obtained data correlation and simple regression analysis tests be applied.
